Default Helicopter Fish + Shrimps?

Does anyone of you keep keep fishes in your shrimp tank? I see aquariums like C328 keeping whiptail catfish (helicopter fish) together with the CRS. It seems they don't attack the CRS, but will it feed on the shrimplets?

it would be named'' bloodly red helicopter whiptail shrimp''

actually keeping the shrimplets alive is much much easier than keeping the whiptail babies alive.i dont know the reason too.
though the whiptail babies are eating fine, but somehow they start to die in a wks time after birth.
i must hv at least a few hundreds of whiptail babies by now,but i can only see about 5 survive till 2'' above only
