pnt can only be alone is my conclusion haha... had kept one with my malayan box at first they seem fine but slowly the pnt kept biting my malayan box turtle's feet... so had to seperate...
now my PNT alone, think its the best liao.. throw in some feeder fishes swim with him haha |

PNT are aggressive and when not fed enough will tend to nip and bite other fishes/turtles in the tank living with it.

depending on the size of the 2 turtles u intend to comm. PNTs normally attacks the neck of one another. a long neck will b a very easy target for them. as they grow bigger they will get more territorial against one another. they r already banned for sales. Quote:
if they get territorial, they wont go for the fishes. they will go for one another. nth else can distract them. thats what happened in my tank. i dont have such problem with my gars n the PNT in my main comm tank. Last edited by Schmike; 20-09-2010 at 08:35 PM. |

thanks for the heads up bro, saw what happened to your pnts thats what prompted me to ask this question. currently they are in a huge 5 x 2,5 x 2.5 tank so far nothing happen.
funny thing is my long neck disappeared for 2 days crawled out and went into hiding in the garden :P just found him this afternoon. Bit my maid i agree with bro schmike, so far pnt every time i am near it it will look very cute and adorable and try to get my attention, and then when i turn my back it will turn into a devil. so far it has EATEN 8 parrot fish (left bones only) 1 silver arowana, one luohan, a few bichirs and ALOT of plecos. Oh and a few silver dollars. its nice to see all the Pnt owners coming into this thread |
