Finally clean the soil... still very dirty...
First try.. 2nd try think I like this placement... spreading the seeds after spreading the seeds... cover up a brighter picture Last edited by fireblade; 13-03-2016 at 02:32 AM. |

Sprinkle the seeds on Friday evening , this is how it looks today (Monday)
should have put a layer of soil on top.. but forgot and now regretted looks like the roots are moldy.. This looks like hairgrass? some of the roots are about 1cm long and rooted into the soil! another look of it.. foreground supposed to be glosso hopefully can fill up soon... |

don't want to wait liao... just do it!
topped up the tank on Tuesday topping up with lights on just after top up... no floating of any plants.. which is a good sign.. I think it is because when the seed germinate, there is a layer of gel clinging on to the soil hence there is no floating. Wednesday-- looks a bit cloudy... hope it will clear up soon.. |

Did you siphon out the mould or boh chap just add water then change water? I have the same problem last time with semi dry start setup.

I just top up no siphon..
this is a great mistake... as I did not add any live stock in to eat the mold ... become very messy.. the grass behind did not last as well... I might need to redo this tank soon... whole base become quite messy... I will suggest to bury the seeds in soil... |
