What should be the recommended flow pattern in a biological filter? Fast, turbulent flow or slow, laminar flow? Why?
Is dissolved oxygen important in a biological filter? What is the recommended DO concentration for a biological filter? How should I meet the recommended DO level? Does the biological filter perform better at a low or high pH?

is there a need to add any additives to tap water which has already been treated with anti-chloromine?
and do such additives necessarily contain the necessary trace elements/vitamins required by the fishes for good fish health? |
