Default Crs tank

Hi everyone, I am going to set up a crs tank wishing bros here can advise..
I am not new to shrimp keeping , previously only kept cherries but able to have them survive for almost 1 year before I decomm the tank.
Wanna try out crs instead..

Current plan.

1.5ft five plan gex tank

Sponge filter

Ans cooling fan 3000( I know crs needs chiller but I am not ready to invest on one yet due to $$ issue so decided to use fan and only keep normal grade crs)

Soil(Ada or gex?)

Additives (need help on this too, currently I can only think of old sea mud)

Plants ( this is gonnwr be a pure shrimp tank, currently thinking of adding some mini frogbits and for centre piece a driftwood with mini fisseden? Please advise)

Normal grade crs( will only buy when my tank is fully cycles)

Bros please advise ! Thx!

Hi, just ensure the water is aged and always cool.feed less frequently. Do you need any s/SS grade,?

Hi Kenneth, why you mention feed less frequently? Reason being I feed my shrimps daily besides the weekends and they seem to be doing fine.

Nv use gex soil so can't comment.

Ada takes long to cycle properly.

I'm currently using another Japanese brand called RAC. The shop claims that's can be cycled and put shrimps in 3 days later. He even gave me a few free shrimps to prove it works. So far so good. My PRL are breeding well

Currently still cycling , (Ada Amazonia)but bought 2 c grade to test water..3 days in the tank Liao. Still surviving , nv feed... Let them eat away those white white colour stuff in the soil..
Old sea mud out of stock,,.
So I bought hayashi micro Baxter and hayashi mineral powder.
Haven't got a fan yet so quite surprised they still surviving..
