Default Questions...that need to be answered.

1. Theres pockets of bubbles\air\gas forming in my sandbed, in the front area near the glass. What is that?

2. Why my domino damsel become white colour? Its not full grown yet..

Those are most probably oxygen bubbles from algae growing in your sandbed

1. Those are probably bubbles of nitrogen.

I kind of doubt so bro Kalib
Since the front glass is exposed to light, many types of algae will grow there (even more so if you have a really deep sandbed)
Nitrogen bubbles are more commonly seen around the centre of the sandbed

Sometimes i use something to disturb the sand to release them..but they form pretty fast. Hope its not poisonous to my fishies.

btw...algae release oxygen?

Try not to stir the sand if you have a DSB, you could disturb the anaerobic zones which could cause the anaerobic bacteria to die and may release hydrogen sulphide trapped in the sandbed also.

Actually the bacteria that we want to focus on are facultative which means that they can live with or without oxygen.
Hydrogen sulphide are not produced in large amounts in DSBs as opposed to the common misconception. The black stuff you might see are just iron sulphide
I have posted my 3 articles on sandbeds in the article forum and it's quite a good read IMO
