need to start clearing a tank to prepare for my pups...

so have to let this pair of Bifas go - they're currently residing in a 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 tank but partitioned as they are not bonded..

The female is confirmed as it has laid eggs once in a previous comm tank, "male" is suspected only as I cannot confirm unless it bonds with the female...

Nic, if you're seeing this please help have a look see if the 'male' is indeed a male, or it could be a female...

"Male" size is ~5" (TL; i.e. including tail); female is smaller..

Note these pics were taken when they were in a furnished tank, and they seem to look rather small here, but have grown bigger, especially the "male"..

and now they're in bare bottom tank, but still looking good!

Can't tell by just the look.

But base on the color and spangles on the fins, I would lean towards male for the second fish.
