Yes, but not necessary
Hi Mr Tay
From what I know, 'lau kim' refers to gold based xbacks with bullet heads. So, it could mean they are referring to Pahang Golds, yes, but not necessarily so. Because Pahang Golds are much rarer in existence while gold based bullet head xbacks are more common. Hope this helps. Mrs Goh |

Hi, just joined as a new member in every sense. Very interesting discussions...like the frank response especially from DFI.
Looking forward to keep a aro once my used 5x2x2 tank is ready. What's your suggestion what type of aro to keep being new. Tks |

Better to get Xbacks as its prices are dirt cheap now
Hi Elias602
Thanks for your kind words. With the RTGs selling for less than S$200 and Xbacks around S$400-450 these days, its certainly better investment to get a Xback now. If you are keen on our xbacks, then I would recommend a Sapphire Gold AA+, selling only at S$528 at C328 now. All the best to your selection, enjoy the process! Mrs Goh |

What is a Pahang Gold? Good question, we have been using this name since 2004 or earlier , see the link below :
http://www.dragonfish.com/photo86.htm 22Jul2004 http://www.dragonfish.com/photo92.htm 29Nov2005 From young, I have realized this fish to be very much different from the other xbacks that I have. It is golden based with round head , and the shine is superb, quite unlike the rest of the gold based xbacks .From then onwards, only 1555 and it's offsprings are called Pahang Gold in my farm. The rest of my gold based xback are termed 24k Gold xback. The following are the characteristics of DFI Pahang Gold , 1) Gold based with round head 2} Golden eyes lids 3) Small tail fin.
