Resun CL1000 v Arctica 1/4
Hi I'm thinking of the above options for my 4x2x2.5 marine tank. The resun is cheaper but I heard the electrical consumption is off the charts. Any comments? Thanks!

Resun is well-known for its hunger in power. Fyi, I have a CL280 which consumes as much much as my Artica 1/4hp.
My suggestion is to opt for the "compressor" type which is alot better in terms of efficiency as well as power consumption eg StarMex with a titanium coil. Fyi, it takes only 25 mins to cool one deg Cel as compared to Artica (about 2 hrs) for maintaining temp at 25.5 deg C. |

If you have enough budget than go for Arctica. Else might want to consider Resun C0500 which is enough to support your 4ft tanks. Alternative would be Hailea 1/2 HP. But heard it is not a very good chiller.
