Monster aficionado delight- Granulated catfish
Bought them wild without knowing so much as their attractive lateral spines when they were 3 inches... thinking they would grow to 5-6 inches hiding in drift wood crevices. And when they got to 1 foot I started researching and found out they are going to grow big... quite a lot bigger.
Today, 5 years along, they are almost hitting maximum recorded size of 28 inches total length. These are granulated catfish, Pterodoras granulosus and at more than 24 inches are only going to be suitable for serious monster fish keepers. Do consider carefully. $300 each... PM to deal.

They are actually very docile, unlike what u saw in the blue bucket. Moving around slowly sieving for food here and there.
This video clearer... in glass tank.
And... can grow much bigger... at 33 inches according to amateur keeper in this video... the first fish coming out of the tank.
