wanted to find out if I'm able to get a good silent fan at around SGD10 bucks? currently I have got a Dynmax w-5 vortex but it is too loud! Regards Kehao |

Hi,
I find Boyu clip-on fan is rather quiet. I am using it in my 2ft tank. Well, this is my view, I can be wrong. Hope this helps. |

DIY options with PC fans are probably your best bet if noise is the issue. At $10, you would probably need to see if you can find an old PC fan to repurpose and hopefully you have an appropriate 12v adapter to run the fan.
Problem with DC fans is that it's quite dangerous if the fan accidentally drops into the tank. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk |

I will also go with DIY.
Buy a fan from Sim Lim, then go to 2nd floor hardware shop Sin Lin and ask them to convert it to a DC plug. or can get the adapter 3pin to DC plug (ask Sin Lin to make). |
