Default Motoro Ray tail issue

Ppl,

I'm a beginner in motoro world, recently got a pair. One of it has a problem with it's tail. It's tail from the sting onwards turned white, the day after i got them. After 2 days, the skin of the tail dropped and now after a week, its tail dropped off. WHAT TO DO? I DON'T WANNA BURY MY RAY. HELP.

Sound like ph burns...pls check your ph. If its 5 and below, change 20% water and add ph buffer...bicarbonates. CC and oyster shell might be too little too late, use commerical prepared buffers.

Hope that helps, keep us posted.

if i am not wrong . When he bought the male rays , its alrealy like that . Is it due to caught from the wild and the tail got struck in the net ?
Any ways it will return to the same ?

Is there any fungus growing on the skin or sting? Usually i add melafix on my rays and catfish once they start having fungus and cloudy eye but the case is very rare if you have good water management.
