they will grow again. unless you buy those rays with very short tail, probably ripe off by other fishes.
y do you want to buy rays without sting? |

Was thinking of adding one to my new 4x2x2 tank which is now cycling. Not very confident of handling the ray. Any tips? |

Just be gentle and dun provoke them, then shd be fine. I believe you can touch your ray as long as you are not rough with them.

I have kept a fair amount of rays. I nev handle rays with bare hands. if you are buying rays and contained in bags, put the whole bag into the tank for acclimatization, then slowly release it into the tank. if using box/ pails, use a scoop to contain the ray. try not to use net as the sting will get caught in the net and u got to cut the net. once itside the tank, you dun touch it till u wanna let it go.

if you buy a ray from the fish shop, some will cover the sting with a rubber tube. but rays shed their stings, so when it shed, the tube came off as well.
