Filter media in OHF
I'm using those 4 layer tray mount on top of my 6ft tank.
What is the best filter media for the 4 tray to keep the water as healthy as possible. I'm keeping side view ranchu and I need to do 50% wc every week. Any advice from u guys? This is my current setup Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I suggest to pack ur CR more. Not sure if u using charcoal but suggest to take out. They got <3mth life span. If u forget to remove and they will release back the toxic they adsorb over the mths

I would suggest that for the top stack, you may want to use white sponge for mechanical filtering. In my goldfish tank, it traps so much poop I replace them very frequently.

Hi TS, I think there are many threads on suggestions for OHF setups....including this one. Just do a search for them. Hope it helps.

Dear TS, based on your picture, imho, definitely not sufficient for a 6 footer unless u only keep 1 live stock.
