Default Sale of 231 Neo Tiew Crescent

Dear all,
It is with mixed feelings that we are making this public announcement. We have sold and transferred our farm land at 231 Neo Tiew Crescent, Singapore 718913 to Hong Long Fishery Centre owned by Mr. and Mrs Yeoh with effect from 12th August, 2015. Besides the farm land, included in this sales are also all our Adult Cross Backs, RTGs and Red Arowana brooders in the mud ponds. And Hong Long Fishery Centre also bought our highly sought after domain name, www.dragonfish.com.

But we did not sell our company, Dragon Fish Industry, which is a partnership and hence, a separate entity from the farm land, thus the name of DFI would now go into history. Also not included in this sales are all our Registered Trademark names like Sapphire GoldŽ, Rose GoldŽ, Emerald BlueŽ, Royal BlueŽ and Ruby RedŽ. Thus, all these trademark names are still ours and thus, cannot be used by any farm for the sales of Dragon fishes under any circumstances.

As with all things, whether good or bad, has to come to an end. Thus, once the SLA has agreed to extend our 20 years land lease by another 3 years, we announced that we would be putting up the farm for sale as we have decided we had to move on to pursue other dreams in our lives. As luck would have it, Mr. Yeoh who currently owns two CITES Arowana breeding farms in the Lim Chu Kang area of Singapore, was at the same time, looking to expand his Arowana breeding business. Both email address sales@dragonfish.com and telephone number 67917077 of the farm had remained unchanged and will be transferred to Hong Long Fishery Centre as well. Here is wishing both Mr. and Mrs Yeoh all the best in their future endeavors. Kindly support Hong Long Fishery Centre as you did support DFI in the past.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all our supporters, both overseas as well as local. It is with all your support that helped us weather both the good and not-so-good times in the past 20 years that we run the DFI farm. Our Heartfelt Thanks to all of you indeed.

Mr. & Mrs William Goh

Hi tankw
Never mind, you can still buy our Rose Golds from Hong Long but it will be under a different name, that's all. Brooder 6091 is still in their mud pond right now, no changes in fish quality.

Appreciate your support, really.

Hi Dave
Appreciate your kind words. All we did was to spend a good part of our youth, ie a good 20 years, towards the conservation and production of this Endangered Species, that's all.

But as you have said, if we did bring any ''live'' to this industry, well, we are glad to learn that if indeed that was true.

Thanks for giving us the support when we needed it. All the best, Dave.
Mrs Goh

Is with mixed feelings as I read this post and announcement.

All these years we have grown together with DFI an ever-presence in this platform... and we had actually wished it would last for more years to come.

On a personal level, I wish health and happiness for both.
Sunday Breakfasts and more family time, not forgetting the personal space to pursue things both wanted to do all these while but shelved aside...

DFI may be now a page in history, but the beautiful memories remain.

Regards
Steven

HI Mr Wong
This is one post which I had shed a tear or two for, very touching indeed ....
very well written I must say.

Well, DFI success is not heaven fall as we had to sacrifice most dinners with family members (having to make rounds in the mud ponds checking if there were new broodings from 6-7.15pm daily), and work during most Public Holidays and Sundays, too, thus not being able to go home for a few days in a stretch (stay over in the farm).

And most people have said that we were far too young to retire ... Well, like you have said, we had actually wanted to work a few more years but the market sentiments for Ornamental fishes in general and Xback Goldens in particular is not ideal. As most would recall, Xback prices had clashed some 90-95% since 2011 when an adult fish was priced S$3,000-3,500 then but is now, only selling for S$150-250 each (see my recent auctions?). Very very sad that each and every fish that we Arowana farmers sell in the past 4 years, we are literally bleeding blood ...

Nevertheless, we would like to wish you and your loved ones, a healthy and happy life. Many thanks for such a moving post, well appreciated indeed.

Mrs Goh

HI GSC
Thanks for your well wishes.

Contrary to rumours that we are migrating, we are merely spending more time in places that we love, ie Europe as a whole and Italy in particular. In the past, we used to rush back to the farm after a 4 nights or 7 nights stay in Europe. But now, we certainly can afford to stay a good 3 weeks in Europe.

Much appreciated for the kind words and may your dreams in life be realized, too!

Mrs Goh

Nice goldies produced and refined along the years. Glad to know the brooders are still producing locally for aro hobbyists
