5) Supporting Stand
Basic Support: - Cage design steel frame of 8 vertical beams of metal stand (2"x2", shell thickness 2mm; traditional stand of 1mm is not recommended). - 4 no. 3"x2" chengnai beam as reinforcement support. It is extremely important to provided sound support for steel frame for they are hollow, and will be deformed or give way once over stress or rusted due to stress effect. Each of chengnai beam 3" by 2" solid form can support up to 1 ton in vertical loading. Overrall, just like the tank need good safety factor (of minimum 3.8 design factor), the stand will need 10.0 as safety factor. - Water changing inlet you might notice there is a small hole on the centre of over flow box. The hole is the inlet to water change. Last edited by tank_maker; 28-02-2012 at 10:35 PM. Reason: Text Edit |

Commission of 10ft x4.5ft Tank
1) Design Update
The 2nd 10ft tank has decided to reusd the existing tank instead of making brand new because the esixting tank was found to be in excellent condition. The existing tank was built be Tank_Maker team in year 2004. With this change of plan, there is cost saving for owner and reduce leadtime to up the setup. Addition update is the L-shape that formed by 2 tanks will be moving a part; thus 1 no. 10ft tank will stay (against the wall) and another 10ft became the partitioned setup. We are glad to see this update where the 2 tanks became main features of the house. 2) Moving out of 10ftx 4.5 ft tank Following is the snap shot of the existing tank moving out of old house.
