AF 2009 Memorabilia
Dear all
The members have made their decision. Top 3 items voted are:
At this point, we do not know if we will chose to produce 1, 2 or all 3 items. It will be decided only after indicative orders are given by the members. A separate thread for orders will be posted once we have the design and costs. The slogans decided are: Arofanatics - Once Registered, Forever Addicted! Additional slogans requested by the individual groups: Sting Ray - Fish Off. I Sting. Flowerhorn - BE FLOWERHORNY. We now need volunteers to help design the items and also get quotations for them. Please remember to ask for the minimum quantity, as well as cost should the quantity increase. Please post any related matters on this thread. Would appreciate it very much if you do not PM me. Thanks and look forward to your assistance. D24

Things can get very complicated if u want to do too many items at one time. My suggestion is to focus just on AF Corporate t-shirts (polo or round-neck) and car decal first, and forget about the specific interest group items (stingray, flowerhorn, pleco, etc) for the time being. The corporate items are likely to meet with more orders and make it feasible to produce compared to the specific interest group items.
Proposed that u use the following steps in producing the t-shirts n car decal: 1) Decide on the slogan/text to use (completed via poll) 2) Decide on what type of t-shirt to produce (Polo or round neck). Costs n designs for both are very diff. Generally, Polo t-shirts should be used with a more serious or corporate look/design, whereas round-neck is more suitable for fun n light-hearted design. 3) After deciding on 1 n 2, go into the design proper and desired specifications of the t-shirts n decal (how many colours, what type of printing, fabric type, etc). Use a poll to decide which design to go with for final production. 4) Use the chosen design n specs to get competitive quotations from different suppliers. Diff supplier has diff minimum or cost-efficient quantities. For t-shirts, it is possible n more feasible to get suppliers to quote based on 1 price for all sizes (rather than diff price for diff sizes). 5) Gauge purchase intent from members to derive likely quantity (n sizes) to be ordered. 6) Collect payment first from members before ordering. Hope this helps. |
