Default review of aquaphos -sold by bruce the dragon

bros,
pls find this simple pic by pic review on the new aquaphos i am using for my tank now. i am glad i had great service from our fellow bro bruce who delivered it to my place just now.

This test will be done via a 24 hr cycle. it will not take into consideration tank ph, ca levels, mag levels, specific gravity etc.. feeding will be as usual. that is all parameters constant and normal so as not to affect the results.

steps i took:
1) measure existing tank PO4 equal to 0.5mg/L, using Salifert PO4 test kit. looks a little darker than 0.5mg mark, but lighter than 1mg mark.
2) use a filter bag and filled it with 150mg of Aquaphos since my tank including sump is abt 427L in total.
3) shake off the fine powder on a pc of newspaper to minimise coloration in main tank. be careful not to breathe in the fine dust.
4) place into sump, notice why i hang it over the refugium light instead of dumping it straight onto the sand. reason is to maximise contact. observed that streaks of brown emitted frm the bag as it contacts water. done at 2145hrs 030904.

will post result tomorow when i measure PO4 again at 2145hrs 040904.
notice that i didn't use any fluidised reactor.
lets see the results tomorow.

cheers.

without fludized reactor will also have very fast results. Fluidized reactor can maximised the phosphate removal.. thats all... Now let me guess... yr PO4 24hrs later will be....... 0.1ppm! More between 0.25 and 0.1...

hey ekia,
LOTR is acronym for LOrd of the rings..
if u watched the show u would see a ugly creature who is obsessed with the ring and he calls it the precious.....

aquaphos is $40 for $500ml. i am unsure how much rowa cost.

will post results soon. so far so gd, no bleaching/rtn. all corals doing fine. water is also crystal clear.

Cheapest rowaphos in the market is $85 per kg. Aquaphos is retail at $75 per kg. So its actually slightly cheaper. Yah I know its LOTR, but found it weird that you are using it here... haha... can't relate anything to it.

Default just went src

just found out that there is a review of aquaphos at src.
however, the test kit used was tropic marin instead of salifert.
and i think the qty used is far greater. results are also quite significant.
well guys, let us see how fast it works in my tank.
less we get baffled by overated exageration. somehow, it does give me the impression that it is a gd pdt. but results speak better and as a consumer, i remain neutral in this review.
like all reviews, some factors are casative of different results:
1) differnt brands of test kits
2) differnt amounts of media used
3) or the effect of fluidised reactor
4) or the time of the test.
5) or maybe the expiry of the test kit.

it is better to try it out yorself. the reason i chose this pdt is becos i know rowa will definitely cause rtn to my precious. and this pdt is non metal based as stated on the logo. how true i dun know becos no lab report was given.
enuff said, lets see what happens in tonight's test.
