Cardinanl tetras and CRS stay togther
Hi Shrimps experts,
I am trying to kickstart shrimp hobby. I am wondering is it possible for me to have both cardinal tetras, ottos and CRS shrimps living harmoniously in the same tank? Any one selling low grade CRS shrimps here? Thanks |

By theory you can. But if you want your shrimps to spawn, cardinals snd ottoman might ate the shrimplets.
Aquarist chamber sells the small crs starting from $2 a piece and it is consider one of the cheapest in town. |

Fish and shrimps never a good combination as shrimplets will be food for the fishes. Also not good to keep different species of shrimps that can cross breed. If keep PRL then should be just PRL, don't mix with CRS. You don't want to "spoil" the PRL genes by mixing with lower grade CRS.

i can vouch for the tenacity of cardinal tetras.. they will go for shrimplets if given the chance. but of course if you have plants it can reduce the success of predation.
