conductivity will be 1/2 of the tds. example crs is between 175-225 tds, conductivity will be 87.5- 112.5

Thanks.

Any way, how to lower tds. Mine is currently is 248ppm.

Collected rain water and now filtering it with carbon..hope it will lower my tds.

How envy some can have tds at 150 to 225..mine along very high...

Could it be because for the coral chip..in the sump tank.

I would say TDS = 0.5 x conductivity. But not all manufacturer use the factor 0.5. So it is advisable to use conductivity, it cant go wrong between different manufacturer, brands and its intended purpose of use.

our tap water conductivity is about 35 (TDS about 70ppm), by using a lower conductivity water with one that is higher, you will be able to bring down the resultant tank water conductivity

this tds and conductivity is a step higher to my knowledge in CRS,
may i just clarify, the tds required by crs is between 90-120ppm? or what is the range? i read online and people give different range. some even said their crs do well and bred in 250-280ppm.

But my direct tap water TDS is 155. I have tried many times is always 155 or 160 for my tap water.
