Default CO2 bubble counter for Ca reactor

What the rate of the bubble counter u guys set for ur calcium reactor?

Its better to check the ph of the effluent or utilise a pH probe on your aquamedic CR since it comes with a pH probe attachment.
a pH of 6.5-6.8 would be good to start the media burning. (depends on kind of media too).

IME, Rate of bubble count isn't actually a good gauge as to whether the CR is tuned properly due to different diameter tube outlets counters.

remember 2 test ur cal n kh levels every other day during the 1st few wks till it kick in.

tuning the reactor:
in fact, your tank ph will go low if the effluent o/p is not adjusted properly. the dosage of the ca enriched water frm ca reactor is supposed to be small drips only. and slowly.

as for the bubble count, it will be eratic initially but i prefer to have 1bubble/10sec. which means about 6 bubbles in a minute.

the effluent part is more important i think.
