As far as I know, no one in Singapore has done any implant in fish swimbladder. Swimbladder problems are best treated early. If it's a chronic problem, then prognosis for a complete cure is slim.

For your viewers: as far as treating swim bladder disease, in my pond found my Oranda fish, Pom-Pom, belly up under a very thin layer of ice. immedietely rescued her in a large Zip-Lock bag and set up an emergency hospital tank in my house. I prepared chopped peas (without the skins) and prayed she would somehow dive down to the bottom of the tank to eat them. never saw her do it but the next day it was a miracle. She had eaten all the& peas and had a little bit more control of her swimming. I continued for week to give only peas to her and she made a full recovery. Now that she is in an indoor tank, she gets more of a variety of food now to control her swimming. For a few days I give her flake food then another day I give her& prepared peas. She LOVES it whenever she gets to eat the peas!! Every morsel is eaten. Please let your viewers know that peas are definetely a cure and provide the essential "balance" for fish. Thanks, Cynthia

The above mention is a testimony written by someone who found a remedy for swim bladder problem. This testimony is for goldfish but don't know whether can apply to aro. Up to this stage, no harm giving it a try.

Those peas there can be found at the vegetable corner. Green colour one. I not sure whether aro will eat or not but can give it a try. No harm ma.

It might work in goldfish just like the quartz implant, but I don't think it works in aros.

sometimes it's a defect that cant be cured. i have a rtg with same problem but it isnt affecting him at all, so i tried to cure but i think it was a problem from birth.i dont mind the way he swims, it looks nice to me just a bit downward but very healthy otherwise.
