Spotted the plastic piece on the bottom of the tank this morning. It actually stayed in it's stomach for more than one week. All this while, its appetite remained as good. What a relief! Thanks for all the advice.

I was cutting an opening on the plastic cover of the tank when the plastic piece fell into the water.
