What cause pimple barbel?

From this forum i search,some say is cause by fungus and some say is bacterial.Currently my aro is having this problem.So need advice before dosing any med.

2 questions..does yr aro always rub it barbel onto the walls of yr tank??is there any algea in the tank??

My aro do rub on the tank.In my tank there is a FF so not much of a algea problem but that are some buildup on the wall of my tank.This causes problem?

the swallon barbel is caused by poor water parameter, because the barbel is a very sensitive thing for the arow.. so check your water parameter..if still cannot help..do cut the barbel away..it will grow back nicly aft a while..

alt.. u can try to put the arow into another tank with diff water parameter..it might help to cure the problem as well

In fact there are no aro in the same tank.Is only one of my aro is having this stupid problem only.
