Would like to know what's the difference between solenoid and manual regulator for co2 tanks?

with solenoid, there's no need to keep adjusting the bps rate using the needle valve. once required bps is set, the solenoid attached to a timer, will always give out the same bps (most of the time is it's a good co2 regualtor set).... when timer off the electronic solenoid, the coil spring in the soleniod wil shut off co2 supply. when timer on again, the coil spring will open again to release the co2... basically set bps, set timer and no need to worry much.

manual regulator is well... manual. once you off the co2, you need to reset the bps again when you on it... prone to tuning error and if you don't want co2 to on 24/7, need to remember to off and on

a solenoid may cost a few times that of a manuel regulator and it needs electricity to work....

now then i know whats the diff..

is the timer attached to the timer a separate equipment? or does it come with the solenoid?

why does the manual regulator prone to tuning error? wear and tear?

nope...the timer is individual item. You can get it from NTUC or other electrical shop. Pricing ranging from $12 to $40. Those more expensive one is usually digital type.

As for manual regulator prone to tuning error, I believe the bro mean more to you need to manual adjust it every time you off or on it and you might not get the same setting. Correct me if I am wrong. I have forgotten about this part.

A manual regulator if I'm not wrong is meant as a on-off "switch" for cylinders like in industrial useage. Thus you cannot fine-tune the setting.
