Default Cancerous growth inside gill?

I have a friend who has a 18" banjar. recently he noticed the gill has started to open up on one side and he could see a reddish growth a size of a marble inside which seems to be getting bigger by the day As you can imagine it is not an easy to take a pic but does any AFs here have any experience and what intervention, to remove surgically and risk death or leave alone and hope for the best?

Growth in the gill part requires professional medical help from a Vet.

Hi bro, i suggest you get it done fast, cos i got a XB previously with the same problem. Send aro to cut out the lump and was told not 100% success.. and the aro will start to eat lesser and lesser..

Got to starve aro for few days before ops... do no attempt to add medications cos it will not help... At least i tried so don mind telling you... Hope your aro can pull through..

Your aro eats lesser cos it was operated on the gills. Same as humans, after our tooth was removed, appetite drop....
