hi all bros~

due to space constrain

my abt 2ft aro and 2ft royal knife is housing in a 4ft by 18'' tank.

now my knife need medical care and i currently partition a space for

knife.. i remove all filter in the tank and running on powerhead w/o filter

and added befuran in the tank.

question is

do i need to water change everyday ?

do i still feed my royal knife?

how long can the tank run w/o filter media?

It is not advisable to take out the filter media. will advise u to continue using the media as much as possible. also may i know what are the reasons for the medical care?
when u dose medication, remove only the active carbon.
try not to change water everyday, cos it will further weaken the fish as its metabolism will be affected. best tell us the symptons so we can advice appropriately.

it could be anything. however very likely to be Ph crashed. It will recover, just maintain good water parameters. try to ask vetduck for help, he is a practicing veterinarian. he can help you to identify symptions and solutions

it has affected the swim bladder. try to make sure that water parameters like PH stop fluctuating. change water only when you have to. dont change everyday, everytime change, change a bit. see if fish improve, change more. the trick is to monitor.

if the fish is weak, he is prone to multiple complications. they may lead from one thing to another.
