Default Legality of posting copyrighted pictures

hi bros/sis,

If I were to post pictures of copyright sources on my own commerical websites, will I be sued?

Also, the copyrighted pictures are watermarked, if I can remove the watermark, can I post them without fear?

Lastly, how to deem pictures as copy right if they have no watermark on them?

Thanks..

If you do not own the copyright to the image, technically, you can be sued for using it. Don't try, especially if you are a commercial entity. Removing the water mark is even worst. Why on earth would you want to discredit the original author?

Anway, it's not worth the hassle. It's common courtesy to ask for permission. Most image owners will be happy to oblige.

Cheers,
