Hi,
Some gill curl may be cause by changing too much water which result in a great change in water parameter. if the owner think is the bad water parameter that cause the gill curl and they change somemore water, this result in worstening the condition. Changing too much water would also result in cloudy eye. if your arowana have gill curl for the first few days, you can use a power head so that the current can push the gill back to it orginal position. I use the normal scissors-blade is ~4-5", but make sure it is sharp. normal fine sand paper to smooth the edge, after u cut.. I learn for the link below .. Anyway, i find the cutting part is easy, but the transmore part is tricky.. Sorry bro, as i am always in Jakarta/Bangkok 80% of my time, the rest of 20% in Singapore i need to be with my wife and newborn baby.. cannot help you.. so sorry... even my wife complains i spend too much time on my aros, she threatens to cook them when if i keep travelling http://arowanaclub.com/ClubArticles/WanHu/GillCut.htm |
