Urgent help needed?!
Bros, while I was trying to install a new light, my high back aro jumped out of the tank?! and onto the floor. After awhile, I managed to catch it and put it back into the tank, but many of the scales have already dropped and wound is exposed. Also, part of the tail has also been torn, leaving some of the tail "dangling". I've added some anti-biotics(the yellow powder)
1) Should I cut the part of the tail that is "dangling" and let the tail grow, or just leave the tail as it is and the aro's tail will grow back fone? 2) Because some of the scales have dropped, about how long will it take to grow back, and how long will the gold colour on its scales take to develop back? Please answer my questions. Very worried. |

Feel sorry for you and yr fish. The scales will grow back in a month or two, so not to worry too much.
As for the broken tail fins, I believe it will drop off, it is better not to cut if you r not an expert. Just make sure the water parameter is in good condition so that the fins will grow back straight. |

Try not to stress the aro further at this moment. Just got to monitor & ensure the aro recover first. Fin tear & dropped scales will usually recover without need of operation.

dont worry. Put in black water. Surgry not needed unless it is affecting the aro now. Wait until better then do it. Careful water parameter when medica, also remove ac and uv. Later use ac and uv to take out medi in the water. Good luck
