Sorry we could not help.

The sudden death is an indication the fish was sick when you bought it.
Either this or it could be the food, but we need to hear from others if what you have fed is okay.

as i have told vandecruz in a thread about channa care. i suspect its the feeding of the mealworms. same symptoms as he mentioned. so yea.. may be a cause. mine died a similar way after feeding mealworms.

Not eating or appetite drop during sickness and treatment are normal for our fishes. No worry.

Could be the mealworms, maybe some are more sensitive than others. Similarly for aros, I've seen a lot of cases whereby feeding SW somehow leads to PA (protruding anus) for some fishes and not for others. Maybe it's best to avoid mealworms altogether since there are a lot of other food available.

Good News. I think i have success with Befuran when Interpret 9 failed after almost 2 months of trying various internal bacterial medications and tedious water changes as part of the treatment process. The fish is finally eating like glutton again just an hour ago.

I dunno where the right button was pressed but i'm sure it's either the dosing or 24 hours (i did a 48 hours once) treatment process that worked or maybe a combination of all of them.

BTW, i tried the following medications for internal bacterial infection which i almost gave up (thank god i perservered):
1) Ocean Free No.1 - for about 1 to 2 weeks
2) Interprest 9 - for about 2 to 3 weeks
3) Befuran for about 3 weeks (combination of dosing and 24 hours method)

Just to add on bro Spakase's note, I found that SW gave more waste than any other feeds i've tried and it choks up the filtration with waste that does not breakdown easily. Unless you have a generous filter with few fishes otherwise i would recommend avoiding this type of feed for the sake of better water management.
