Plans to do rescape for shrimps tank
i am intending to rescape my shrimps tank. I am experiencing quite a lot of BBA in my tank. But my shrimplets in the tank are about 1 and a half months old and are still looks pretty small. 3 females are pregnant again. I was thinking of transferring the shrimps to a holding place and rescape the tank. How old must the shrimplets be before they mature. Have about 20 of them. Pls advise.
2 My CRS are breeding but my Sakuras are not breeding, also discovered 1 died yesterday. Yesterday, I saw my male CRS attacking a female CRS and the female died today. Should be because of stress and old age. No other fatalities so far. 3 Can i remove the driftwood and rock with BBA, remove the BBA and put them back into the tank? Is it safe to do so? |

as long as you do not stir up the gravel and the gunk, should be pretty safe.
take up the DW and give it a shake in the tank to make sure no shrimps are in it. do small water change to clear up any gunk that accumulated under the wood and rock... be careful of shrimplets. then soak your DW in a pail of water mixed with seachem excel (overdose the amount 5times or use syringe and apply directly also can). leave DW overnight. next day, rinse the DW with clean water and soak in pail with seachem prime (or any other water conditioner). add back to tank. too troublesome? then just soak in hot water and scrub with toothbrush |

Thanks for the info. But i only have Seachem excel. I only have Genesis Anti chlorine and chloramine. By adding that is it good enough?? Also, There are only a piece of DW and rock. Can I remove them at a go, leaving the tank empty for a day?
