Barbel One Missing

I heard a splashing at my aro tank last night. This morning when I look at my RTG one of his barbel gone.Will it grow back? How long?

May I know how much it worth now?
Size around 15". Shine to 5th level. One DE on the left. Bought from Pasir Ris Farm.
Thought of selling it. Upgrade buy a Red Aro.

May be all aro expert can enlighten me. Thanks.

Barbel at this age will grow back, DE can be corrected if detected early.Worth..........dont know

At 15inch.... the growth would be much slower compared to a younger aro....

And it depends whether are the roots still intact....

You mention splashing.. it must been spook... is there any other tank mates in there... could it have triggered a fight?

If the whole barbel is cut off at the root area....no hope.
At least the root of the barbel is still there chances are at least have some hope. Some dun grow back at all even part of the barbel is left with the root.

heard from some people ,that used a needler poke at the barbel there till some blood comes out, may hv some chance that it may grow.but ,try to observe for awhile to see wherther the barbel will grow out or not.i nvr tried before,so don,t really know will it works..just to share . i may be wrong.
