Default Melafix usage?

Seen some many threads with advising to use melafix. Amazed by the vast purposeed of melafix, personally never try it before.

Whats the real purpose of melafix?

Any indications use?

According to label, it is an anti-bacterial preparation, active ingredient should be teatree (t3). Used to heal physical wounds, like broken fins, etc.

Thanks to bro Genki and bro Keong for the valuable info on Melafix, din know that it is so useful, natural extract somemore. Copied from the link given by bro genki...

MelaFix
Contains the natural botanical extract from the Tea Tree (Melaleuca), an excellent alternative to resistant strains of bacteria that are unaffected by traditional medications. Treats bacterial infections such as red ulcers, fin and tail rot, cloudy eyes, mouth fungus, and others in as little as 4 days. Also heals open wounds, ulcers, and damaged fins. But if it is safe for inverts, then safe on plecs and beneficial bacteria too?
