Added a powerhead yesterday afternoon and now it's gill curl is almost gone.

Bro how big is your tank? Usually is the water problem. You can put a power head inside to make some current. This is to allow the water current flow through the fish gill. It would get better. If it's a small tank the fish has little space to swim thus allowing less water to flow through its gill.
