Juv silvers dying...

Hi bros,

I had wnted to comm silver aros but they keep dying after 3 days or so..In my 7footer i hv a few juv rays some 12incher peru greens and a pair of 7incher(Diameter) ERHs...cld ERHs kill my 7-8incher silvers...Tke note silvers hv no fatal bite marks but tail/fins was nimbled...prob after it died...

Water para are ok and i used to house afew asian aros b4...So dis is weird to me....

Any bros hv advices to share...Keep putting in 5 juv silvers but they dun make it over the wkend...take note aros were healthy and stable...i've been fish keeping for awhile nw and dis situation puzzles me

I'm assuming you have acclimatised the silvers slowly and not just releasing them straight from the bag into the tank?

Silvers are also quite hardy fish so I won't rule out any of the other tankmates giving fatal blows to the silvers...

Dats what buffles me bro...silvers are rather hardy specimens....and yes u assume correctly bro...did release them slowly into comm tank...

tried twice...5 pcs each time and none survives....

hmm.... this is strange, but I suspect one or more of your tankmates probably attacked the newcomers.

Is dat possible??coz during my observation ERHs dun seem to bother the silvers...then again dunno when nite falls though..but theres no visible fatal injuries on dead silvers....

Gonna try partitioning another batch..see if dat works.Btw any bro's come across such deaths...
