Take the BTS (Sky train) to Mo Chit station. The market has many entrances, do take a map from the gates once you reach there. The shopping center(Jatujak Plaza) behind the market has nice clean toilets.

Suggest you buy the one day pass so you can also hop off to MBK, 4 face Budda, etc. along the way.

take cab will do.dam cheap.. shopping centre = jj mall.. jus tell cabby jj mall and u are at the fish section already..

actually there's 2 fish/pets section. 1 behind JJ mall which operates almost daily. another one only opens on weekend. near the kids museum. try to go earlier like 8am as the jam in bangkok can be quite bad. Most shop closes at about 6 yo 7pm(bangkok time). About bringing fishes back im not sure but i know that for bettas u can bring in 30 pieces. hope these info helps
