45 Degree swimming aro
Woke up this morning found my RTG swimming 45 degrees. his tail and finnages at the rear were closed completely and his pectorals were spread wide out.
he had some violent twitching of the body and as i observed him for bout 20mins he did occassionally belch bubbles out from his gills. after awhile he then went to the corner of the tank where the water outlet for the stackable OHF was and he used the downward water current to push his rear end of the body down while his head was at the corner. anything that I can do to save him? |

bro, your arro is having SBP. try reducing the water level and put in epsom salt to push out the air in the stomach..

If you fish you may have the tool to puncture the swim bladder to let the air out, that is more instantaneous.

If the aro jump and swollow air causing SBP,I suggest u lower water level , apply extra dose of black water and salt. Hope the acidic water will make the aro vomit out the air in the stomach.
If after 2 days still does work, u may wana approach ARK to get the air remove. Thats wat i did month back to my XB, which i suspect swallow air duing transportation. |
