need advise on curse water
need advise on my aro tank water, 2 week ago i into 3 IT into tank that was eating well in my 3 ft tank, 1st thing i notice is their fin was abit torn, i though it was normal, it took them 5 day to recover, but 2 of my IT refuse to eat at all and would spit out the mp once in the mouth. the last IT only took a few pieces of small MP so i took out 2 IT and add in my senegalus, found out it is not eating for a week and it is lifeless. i quickly so a 50% water change and 10% wc every for a week. lastly i change all my cotton in my OHF, this time it got worse. my aro refuse to eat for 5 day and the IT appetite become worse. finally cannot take it and bought some feeder, still aro and IT refuse to eat, worse the feeder GF i throw in all die with half an hour. the rest of the GF is doing well in my feeder tank .
any one experience this before ? izzt i add too much or too little anti chlorine or media problem? i really didn't know what to do, never experience this before for the past one year |

I think is the water in the 3ft and also the ITs that caused all these. Before you introduced the 3 in, they probably alr had the disease. When you intro them in, coupled with not so good water, everything accelerated. It's not hard to see why the aro and senegal got affected. But all these still my guess though. Hopefully can recover soon.

Since u cant trace the source of problem yet, you could perhaps consider doing a major revamp to the system. Wash the media (50% first) and and filter wool. Wash your pump in case u got rotten food stuck inside. Wash all gravel and inspect the tank for any trapped food that is rotting away. Any chemical media such as activated carbon also to be removed first.
Moniter your fish for a couple of days for improvement then update us again. |
