Im getting the same thing in my tank...been cycling for 2wks already and i dont dare to add in anything...=.= I dont have DW in my tank...

Just use pincer clip them twirl it around in circles so that they stick together (like candy floss) and remove them. I keep removing them every day or every 2 days. After sometime they don't come back anymore

Do not worry too much, those pictures you posted seems to be like normal during the early cycles of a planted tanks, I have tons of it when I started off, as soon as you add some fishes those moulds will go away, wouldnt be a huge problem.
If you are still afraid of adding some of your favourite aquarium fishes inside, you could try adding some $1 guppies and shrimps, where you can find in LFS, if they do well in there, it shows that the tank is good. These fishes can act as indicators whether your aquarium is good enough to support life. However you need to be patient because most of the problems do not arises immediately, maybe 1-2 months or at least a week of monitoring before changing the species inisde the tank. This would reduce the amount of $ you will lose if your tank fails. |
