Substrate I believe u r referring to the soil/gravel. If yes, then it's a mixture of brown and black.. Hiding place, it has a bridge... Doesn't seem to be eating much now.. Lighting is an aquazonic led light.. Changing to a PL lamp..

Try a water change bro and see how that does. I used to have a CPO that became pale because it was in a glass jar with a moss ball, very small experimental setup.

I now have a CPO at home that is doing well, suddenly became more red/orange than when I first bought it. Feeding it tetra bits.

Sometimes water affects the colour as well.
