If you have a PH monitor, just add in small increments and wait for the ph to stabilise with the new readings before considering adding more. I don't measure how much I add, but mine is a big tank, so I just dump in 1 spoon of those disposable plastic spoon sizes. 1 hr later check again. If Ph increased by more than 0.2, I stop adding for the day. Next day add again and continue until I achieve the PH I want. In between, I will also check for my KH readings as well.
