Default Aro scales are dry?

Well guys I need your urgent help. I found out that my aro is being attacked by mga flagtail 2 days ago. Now that portion that was attacked was somehow dry. Lost shine on it.. I already separated the FT.

Do you think it's due to the FT attack? What do I need to do?

Please reply thanks in advance
