New kohaku from nkf
Hey guys... recently caught the koi fever and am very very new to koi and Got myself some koi from nkf including this 6 inch kohaku
And as i read more about selecting kohaku the more confused i get Can any one comment on this kohaku and probably advice what to look out for the next time i choose a kohaku? Thank you! Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk |

base on the pic skin quality and colour quality are unable to be comment as the photo may not be well taken.
but the pattern of the Koi you bought looks good, nice 4 steps. the overall structure is also not bad. what is the range you pay for? |

The patch looks small at this size. Will the patch look even smaller when the fish grows?

am a beginner myself too, so just my 2 cents
as commented, it has the 4 step basic for a kohaku so that's right if the red is more intense, it will be nice the other koi does look like a ochiba from what I read, ochiba can change colour tone quite drastically as it grows, or even with the season (overseas) my ochiba has a darker shade of grey this one is prob just a lighter |
