Shock as of trauma, not how you handle. Probably the process it went through is too much for the aging fish to take, as it able to wake and swim before going upside down. Just my guess, as I don't see anything you have done wrong.

Bro, is it both reds were transferred to the same tank before they passed on? If so, did u check if is this tank that has any 'poisonous' stuff that caused the water to be unsuitable for the fish? Is it a new tank? Just trying to figure out what went wrong...

Bro sorry for you lost,
Can know how u feel because i also lost 4 aro this year, the bigger is 10 years old..haiz😰 because of my careless overdose the medical during treatment.. |
