dun worry bro..check out the barbel growth of my 4 yr old rtg:

based on my own encounter, water cleanliness as pointed out by other bros is VERY important...must be tip top....once u have that, appetite wil be good so no worries about nutrition....

it only took about 2 months (i said only cause i thought it'll take forever) to reach what u can see from the pics....

now, i think the shorter barbel is probably 2/3 of the original length...will try to update when i take new pics...
