Default Thanks for the support!

Hi Lukeskwr
Greatly appreciate your support!

Two No Nos when raising a young 7 to 9 inch xback -
1. Never keep in a black tank till 12 inches. If kept in a black tank, on the overhead lights for a min of 8 hours daily

2. Never over feed till it is obese! Feed twice a day till a slight bulge in stomach area.

All the best!
Mrs Goh

Hi Bro Ranchulover_79

I hav looked at some of the photos posted by Mrs Goh on her Rose Gold. They look fabulous. I am a newbie when come to Aros. Would you consider Rose Gold?

Aside to Mrs Goh, is it Rose Gold a class lower than AA+? Many thanks

Default No, all fishes can be graded AA or AA+

Hi Flying Ranchu
No, all fishes can be graded AA or AA+. So a Rose Gold AA+ is certainly better quality than a say Emerald Blue AA.

In fact, due to rarity, Rose Golds are often priced slightly higher than Xbacks. Out of our total xback production, Rose Golds only constitute less than 5% of the whole production.

Hope this helps.

Default At 6 to 7 inches, can keep up to 5pcs

Hi Astroken
At 6 to 7 inches, you can keep up to 5pcs. But 6 months later, you might need to change to a bigger tank. Never over feed your fishes, otherwise, ammonia might be too high. And a Blue tank is always better than a Black tank. White tanks are still the BEST for young xbacks till 12 inches.

Hope this helps.

how abt a white tank that is no longer white, but yellowish due to age? outdoor with direct sun.

btw I read some ppl here linking Rose Gold with Tongyan. What is Tongyan? Care to elaborate?

Got a bro here who bought a Rose Gold plus afew 24Ks report that while his 24K doing very well, his Rose Gold "cannot make it" in term of colour and shine. What u think?

Was looking at Rose Gold cos no need the hassle of WTT and arrange I might lost that beautiful glow each day.

Now looking back at xb liao. btw someone here mention gold bar. what is gold bar? 24k or AAA GH?

thanks in advance for reply.

Default Trying my best ...

Hi Aquaponics
Ok, I will try my best to answer your questions -

1. Would suggest you to re-paint your yellowish tank

2. Rose Gold to our farm but other farms call them Tong Yan or other names but basically the same fish ie Red x Xback Gold

3. A Rose Gold has Matt gold and thus it's intensity can never be compared to a 24K Gold (a pure Xback). Likewise, a pure xback is most unlikely to achieve the size of a Rose Gold. Thus, each has its own beauty, each to its own.

4. When most people say 'Gold Bar' they are most likely to refer to a Gold based xback, which in our farm case, would be a Pahang Gold or a 24K Gold.

Hope the above clarifies some or if not all of your doubts.
