gill curl u r referring.. do a search to find out the casue for gill curl and remedy for it.. as far as i know, gill curl is caused by excessive current which some bros here claimed, and the only way currently may be to trim it (ie do a small operation to cut the curled part and allow it to grow back..)

The usual cause of Gill curl is bad water condition. For the first couple of weeks perform water change every 3 to 4 days ( 20% each time ). After that WC once a week.
In addition;
1. Reduce the water level to about ( 60% - 70 % ) of the total height. This step is necessary if tank
2. Install a power head ( fairly strong one ).
3. Add in FURAN - G by AQUMEDI , the amount according to instruction, after each water change.
Good Luck and please update the progress.

How is it ? ..after the operation ! If you are not careful with the water condition, GC will come back again. The method I suggested can cure the GC - more than 50% success rate. I still recommend you try this first,if GC comes back again - less stress on the ARO. Good Luck. Please update your Aros' progress.

it has been a few months ... the gill has grown back to normal ... but i still keep the powerhead (place it at the bottom) in the tank .... why? seems that my aro love swimming infront of it .... like a jacuzzi ...
