Default HELP needed for RTG

Hi All

I have a 12-13cm RTG for a month which has been doing fine eating prawns everyday, and recently Prawns with pellets. But recently the RTG didnt eat for 2-3 days but color still looks the same water is the same. Eyes look fine, body is fine.

It eats like once a day and sometimes 2-3times a day.

I noticed it is shitting white string poo. It hasnt even eat the feeders in the tank. RTG is breathing normal and still swims at top....

Maybe i think RTG is in DETOX mode just getting rid of its wastes?????

Can anyone help or has anyone noticed this before.

It's common for aros to go on "diet" once in a while (short non-eating periods). Dun worry too much, just continue to monitor the water and your aro for any adnormalies.

Please avoid over feeding your aro which can be a cause for such behaviour. Feed it moderately, maybe multiple (2-3) times a day (for a small aro).

A point to note is that a hungry fish is a healthy fish... happy aro keeping!

Default Thanks

Thank you KANCE and soho, So does the white stringy poo mean thats normal or worms?
Because I havent seen him shit any big chunky bits just little strings.

So at such a young stage 12cm how often does it go on diets?

so far he has not eat for 4days. But stomach still looks solid and body does not look skinny. Im afraid he might have digestion problems?????

Thanks Guys
