add a powerhead....and direct it towards the location where your aro sits.

or you can add tankmates.....cuz for sure...your aro..will try swimming after them.....making your aro active

aros are indeed very different. Before, when I didnt have the powerhead and blood parrots..............my aro will just sit when the lights are on....but once I turn the lights on...it will swim on the surface ASAP

Default Perfectly Normal

Your aro sounds like he's healthy and fine. Sitting at the bottom of the tank is perfectly normal, some arowanas are lazy to swim all the time. One suggestion as mentioned will be to put a powerhead or introduce tank mates. I personally don't mind the arowana when it sits at the bottom of the tank when I'm not around. Once you approach the tank or your aro sees you, he will get up and start swimming around.

My Aro same also. When i reach home, he was siting there at a corner. Once see me come back, start to come for food. Even when i around, when he swim until sian. also sit at a corner. When u go over, he will spring up & swim .

Dun worry, as long as swiming properly & eat properly. Normal. U walk whole day also need to rest mah

have experience this before.. as time passes and when my aro grew larger.. no longer settles at the bottom.. now always swim around.. seemed that the aro just need some time to settle down in the tank before it starts swimming ard freely.. no worries
